No formal experience needed, however we ask that you are patient, kind, and open to learning new things

We will ask that you register as a member of Girl Scouts, this is simple and costs $50 for a one year membership through Girl Scouts of Western WA. No other Girl Scout membership obligations needed.

Do I have to pay for camp for myself?

No you do not!

Does my child attending camp get a discount?

Yes! Your child(ren) will receive a GENEROUS DISCOUNT for their week of camp. Your first camper has no camp fees, this includes campers in your household or close family members (grandchildren, foster, niece, etc).

How much do I have to volunteer to get the generous discount?

We ask that you attend a majority of pre-camp meetings and be present at camp July 21-26 from set up on Sunday to end of camp break-down Friday afternoon.

Nope :) But you are welcome to if you’d like, some leaders do!

What does a unit leader do?

You will chose an age group and lead a group of campers alongside a co-leader. Usually no more than 12 campers in a unit. You will be given a schedule of all-camp activities, which will include open blocks of time for you to plan your own activities such as crafting, games, etc.

How creative can I get?

We LOVE creativity! Should you chose to be a unit leader, This is YOUR unit to lead. With loving guidance and a team of support around you, you are able to plan what crafts and activities your unit does. There are blocks of time in the day where camp activities are already planned, but this is your journey to take when it comes to what you want your unit to look like :)

Can I chose my co-leader?

YES!!! We LOVE when two friends lead a unit together…its magical!
