Who we are:

Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay is a Girl Scout Community Day Camp whose goal is to provide a leadership-focused program that includes Girl Scouts & kids of all backgrounds entering grades 1-12. Our goal with every camper is to nurture and develop a strong sense of belonging and acceptance in a positive environment, while supporting individual strengths and embracing all personalities.

We serve Tacoma/Puyallup & South Puget Sound area.

Built By Volunteers

Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay is a volunteer-led community day camp. Our adult volunteers begin a year in advance to plan for the perfect week of camp. Each adult volunteer leader is trained and background checked, most leaders have been with this camp years…some even since they were campers themselves!

Giving Back to Community

Each year Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay chooses a local non profit to partner up with. Every day of camp, campers are encouraged to bring items specific to the needs of chosen entity.

This summer, we are working with Step By Step - a puyallup based group that equips pregnant women, mothers and families to positively impact generations.

Building Leaders

Our trained volunteer staff leaders at Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay aim to build & develop skills that encourage critical thinking. inclusion, hard work & responsibility.

Our Program Aide In Training (PAT) and Program Aide (PA) units work together, creating a all-encompassing program that develops skills to lead younger campers safely & confidently.

The best part of volunteering is the seeing the excitement on the kid’s faces when they tell their parents what they did that day at camp
— Cindy (Peaches), Camp Volunteer
Camp is rewarding for volunteer leaders because we’re making a positive impact on our youth and community. It gives a sense of purpose and connection to others while also providing personal fulfillment by giving back our time to a cause that we care about.
— Amanda (Met'Mia), Camp Volunteer
Volunteering at COALL helps me grow as a person and see a different perspective from the camper’s point of view
— Jenny (Queen Bee), Camp Volunteer

Teen Leadership

Campers are given the option to attend camp as a PAT (Program Aid in Training) the summer before entering 7th grade. The PAT program provides a thorough, hands-on learning experience and PATs will earn their LIA.

Upon completion of Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay’s week-long PAT program, campers are able to apply as a PA (Program Aide) the following summer.
