Meet Our Camp Staff

  • "ANIMAL"

    DIRECTOR

Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay since 2011

Hello! I began volunteering at Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay in 2011 and fell in love with the positive environment immediately. I have made so many friends and have watched a lot of the campers grow up to become leaders at Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay. Seeing the kids return every year, develop leadership skills as they grow, and then ultimately flourish in the world is by far one of most rewarding parts of volunteering with Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay.

My goal as camp director is to nurture leadership skills in these young campers while harboring a positive, safe and supportive environment for our kiddos to become the best versions of themselves.

  • "RAZZMATAZZ"

    CO-DIRECTOR

Camp Oh Ah lay Lay since 2021

While not at camp, I enjoy traveling. Over the last year, our family has been on the Great Loop, a boating adventure covering 6,000 miles up the Atlantic Coast, across the Great Lakes, down the inland rivers, and across the Gulf Coast into Florida. We've recently completed this journey and celebrated in the Bahamas.

When not traveling, I enjoy the beach, spending time with my family, playing games, photography, scuba diving, and snow skiing.

Seeing kids make new friends and creating new memories are a few of my favorite things about camp.

  • "MET'MIA"

    PROGRAM AIDE DIRECTOR

Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay since 2018

When I am not leading an amazing group of girls at camp I am usually working in some capacity. My day job is in Executive Relations at Amazon. I am my neighborhood HOA President. I admin the local Buy Nothing Project group for my community, and I am an Assistant Coach for my son's T-Ball team. The most important job bestowed upon me, however, is being a Mother to two amazing little humans.

If I had to describe myself I would say I am loyal, passionate, caring, and empathetic. People tell me I have the patience of a saint. I love helping others learn new things, and helping them grow into their own unique person. I strive to be the kind of person that I wish I had guiding me in life as a young girl.

I have vivid memories of the greatest experiences at Girl Scout camp, 32 years ago, and being able to provide lasting memories for other Girl Scout's today brings me such joy.
