Program Aide in Training (PAT)

Campers entering grades 6-9 may apply to participate as a Program Aide in Training (PAT). The PAT program is designed as a week of hands-on training to become a Program Aide (PA).

During the week of Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay, PATs will have the opportunity to learn leadership skills by working hands-on with all Girl Scout age groups and earn their L.I.A. (Leadership in Action) badge for Girl Scouts.

Mandatory PAT retreat June 29, 2025 at Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay (Camp Curran).

Applications due by April 1, 2025 - acceptance emails sent by April 15, 2025.

Program Aide (PA)

Young adults entering grades 8-12 who have successfully completed Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay’s PAT training may apply for a PA position.

PA’s will be assigned to a unit for the entire week of camp and will assist leaders as needed. PA’s will meet with their Program Aide leaders, Peaches & MetMia, daily for additional training and resources. PA’s will be responsible for planning at least one craft for their assigned unit, along with planning other camp-wide activities throughout the week. PA’s are able to earn volunteer hours required for school by attending Camp Oh Ah Lay Lay as a Program Aide.
